Licensing Policy Consultation
7 Aug 07- 29 Oct 07
Introduction
The Licensing Act 2003 requires the Borough of Poole to publish a Statement of Licensing Policy that explains its general approach to the making of licensing decisions and how it intends to meet the licensing objectives as set out in the Act. The Act stated that the Policy should be reviewed every three years. The Statement of Licensing Policy is now due for review and a draft document has been produced for comment on. The Council wishes to consult as widely as possible with the trade and public to ascertain their views on the changes it has made to the Policy.
Due to the importance of the Statement of Licensing Policy the document is put out for public consultation for 12 weeks in line with Government guidance. Completed questionnaires can be returned by the 29th October 2007:
- by e-mail to environment@poole.gov.uk with Licensing Policy Review inserted into the subject box
- by post to Frank Wenzel, Principal Officer, Environmental and Consumer Protection Services, Unit 1, New Fields Business Park, Stinsford Road, Poole, BH17 0NF
