In 2008, 1,190 children and young people aged between 5-19 years gave their views about services and activities for young people in Poole.

Results

The need to conduct a large-scale consultation with children and young people in Poole was highlighted in the formation of Poole's Integrated Youth Support & Development Service and the review of the Children & Young People's Plan (2006-2009).

As a consequence, in 2008, 1,190 children and young people aged between 5-19 years gave their views about services and activities for young people in Poole.

Summary

Provides an overview of the headline findings from each part of the Consultation.

Part 1

Considers how safe and valued young people aged between 5-13 years feel in Poole. This research was conducted by Action for Children.

Part 2

Provides understanding of the lifestyles and needs of young people aged between 13-19 years, in order to help inform service development in Poole. This research was conducted by the Borough's Corporate Research Team.
