Gambling Act Consultation

Introduction
The Gambling Act 2005 requires the Borough of Poole to publish a Statement of Principles that explains how it intends to meet the gambling objectives as set out in the Act. The Act stated that the Principles should be reviewed every three years. The Borough of Poole Statement of Principles is now due for review and a draft document has been produced for comment on. The Council wishes to consult as widely as possible with the trade and public to ascertain their views on the changes it has made to the Statement of Principles.
Due to the importance of the Statement of Principles the document is put out for public consultation for 12 weeks in line with Government guidance. Completed questionnaires can be returned by the 30th October 2009:
- by e-mail to environment@poole.gov.uk with Gambling Statement of Principles Review inserted into the subject box
