Carers Centre Survey 2008

Introduction
Over the past few months the Poole and Bournemouth Multi-Agency Strategy Group have been working on some of the issues identified by carers through the consulation events and surveys we have carried out. Part of this survey was discussed at Carers Weeks Consultation Day held on 11 June 2008 and as a result a questionnaire was sent out to Carers.
Background
Consultation events and a small scale survey about different options for developing a carers centre were carried out during Carers Week in June 2008. 1700 questionnaires were then sent out to carers whose details were held by the carers support officers for the two Local Authorities and within mental health services. Of these, 203 were completed and returned.
