Public Transport
The survey results show that satisfaction with public transport
is improving. It is in line with national satisfaction.Since the survey, the Council has launched the new Route One
bus service, linking the town centre with the Hospital, Railway Station, Old Town and Quay and all the main town centre car parks. Paying 50p, residents can hop on and off all day.The discussion groups highlighted that public transport is a concern for younger residents who are more likely to be on limited incomes and less likely to own a car. The Council will work with Wilts and Dorset to review the available routes and services.
