Results
69% are very or fairly satisfied with car parking in Poole – showing an increase of 6% since 2005. The investment in car park security over the past 12 months has also had a positive impact, with 98% of residents feeling safe in Poole’s car parks in the day (an increase of 8%) and more people feeling safe when using car parks at night. 79% feel that there vehicle is secure – an increase of 12%. Over the last year Transportation Services All of our multi-storey car parks have again been awarded the Parkmark safer Parking scheme award.
have focused on crime in Poole’s car parks and have been successful in reducing levels to an all time low. Working as part of the Poole safe Together Partnership, they have continued on site patrols and the Police have deployed decoy cars and Smartwater in the car parks. Recently audible warning systems in all of the multi-storey car parks have asked people not to leave valuables on display and posters have been made available for people to display on their vehicles stating that no valuables have been left in this vehicle as valuables left on display are one of the major causes of crime.
