Results
Targeting resources to improve community safety has resulted in a further decline in perceptions of crime and anti social behaviour in Poole.
For the third year running, Panel Members perceptions of key issues such as drunkenness and associated bad behaviour, vandalism and graffiti , car crime, domestic violence, and groups gathering on the streets have fallen Although these issues remain some of the biggest community safety concerns within the Borough, perceptions have decreased by between 4% and 7% since 2006.
In addition, there is growing recognition of the work being done by the Poole Safe Together Partnership to tackle crime and substance misuse in the area. 21% of Panel Members said that they were aware of the Partnership, compared to 18% in 2006, and 13% in 2005.
